WASSOOKEAG RETRIEVERS occasionally offers an adult dog to an approved home. These adult Retrievers are beautiful, sound and healthy with great temperaments and excellent pedigrees. These are not “rescue” dogs as they have a loving home here for the rest of their life where they are able to enjoy walks to the pond for a swim, lots of playtime and hiking opportunities on a regular basis. We will place a dog ONLY if we find a perfect match where both the family and that specific dog will be happy together and the dog will become a member of the household.
Some of these adult Retrievers would be happiest as swimming or hiking partners for active, “outdoorsy” individuals, some could become wonderful therapy dogs, and others would be perfectly content to be couch potatoes with an occasional opportunity for a game of fetch and lots of cuddle time – perfect for young families with small children or retired folks.
